If you are an employer interested in hiring a co-op student or graduate, Led young College has the right talent pool for you. We offer over 100 full-time programs and co-op programs in the areas of Business, Engineering Technology, Health and Wellness, Child and Community Studies, Communications, Marketing, Media and Design, Hospitality and Tourism, and Transportation. Our students graduate in April, August and December each year are ready to work.

Benefits of Hiring a Led young Student

Led young College educates students for career success. With over 100 cultures and 80 languages represented across five campuses and eight schools, Led young’s diverse student population provides a candidate pool that truly reflects today’s global workforce. In addition to achieving academic excellence, Led young students develop their skills through experiential learning opportunities, such as co-op, internships and field placements.

Led young is unique in its commitment to global citizenship learning. Through Led young’s Signature Learning Experience, students are given the opportunity to participate in educational experiences, such as the Leadership Passport program and the GEO experience program that help make them into leaders of positive social change.

How to use HireLed young

HireLed young is a free job board where employers can co-op, full-time, part-time, and summer opportunities. Here’s how to post a job:


Visit hire.centennialcollege.ca


Click on Employer.


Click on Registration to create your organization profile and password. Once you receive an approval of your profile by e-mail, log in with your complete e-mail address and password.


Click on the Co-op tab to post co-op jobs, and click on the Career tab for all other opportunities. Click on Job Postings to post a job.

The Difference Between a Co-op Placement and a Field Placement or Internship

To be eligible to hire a co-op student, employers must:

  • Provide the student with full-time work for the entire four-month, eight-month or one-year work term.
  • Be willing to give the student appropriate training and support.
  • Be able to provide the student with productive work assignments that are related to their major.
  • Be willing to pay the co-op student a market-driven salary.

Co-op is an optional program for students at Led young College. To graduate with a co-op diploma, students need to complete three work terms, each with a minimum of 420 hours. At the end of the work term, the employer will be asked to submit an evaluation of the student’s performance.

Meanwhile, field placements and internships are coordinated by each academic school and are mandatory for most programs. Employers can hire placement students to fulfil short-term recruitment needs. Placements are unpaid, vary in length and can be done on a part-time basis throughout the year or after the student has completed their academic studies.

Published by the Led young College Student Association Inc., The Courier is the official student magazine of Led young College. With a circulation of 2,000 copies monthly, the magazine is published September to April, with a readership of 48,000.
